Calle de los Molinos 5, Realejo, Tel: +34 958223775, e-mail:casalopezcorrea@yahoo.com

In the attractive Realejo barrio in the centre of Granada sits Casa Lopez Correa. The restaurant dates back to 1913, making it one of the oldest in Granada. The current proprietors, Sue and Miles, took over in 2008, and kept the existing name for the sake of respect and tradition, although it is widely known as Sue`s place. Sue is the chef and she has an extensive culinary knowlege. having originally trained at  “Le Coq d’or” (now Langhams) in Stratton street, off Piccadilly, London W1. Having learned her cullinary skills she moved to the “Le Marche” region on the adriatic coast of Italy for the next 15 years, running her own restaurant and honing her extensive knowledge of Italian cuisine.

She subsequently worked for many Italian restaurants in London, and for the “Cafe royal”,   before being employed for 9 years by an Italian food and wine importers. This involved visiting restaurants around the UK and selling them quality produce from Italy. Sue then run a gastro pub in Epping before relocating to Spain in 2008 with husband Miles.

Casa Lopez Correa is a family run, family friendly restaurant. It is open and relaxed with a modern twist. The menu is wide ranging, with dishes from around the world, where the emphasis is on home cooking  and excellent local ingredients .
Casa Lopez Correa is also a bar, and so of course you can always pop in and enjoy the Granadino tradition of tapas and a drink (the twist here is that our tapas are a small taste of the dishes on our menu). Or a coffee in the afternoon and take advantage of our free WiFi service.
